The Space Ecosystem and Sustainability – Bridges to the Future Forum aims to consolidate the Brazilian Space Program as a strategic driver of national development and a mobilizing force for Brazil’s new economy. Bringing together government, industry, academia, investors, and society, the event promotes discussions on regulation, innovation, emerging markets, financing, and space applications capable of boosting Brazil’s competitiveness and technological sovereignty. By integrating these agendas in a systemic way, the Forum reaffirms the role of the space sector as critical infrastructure for the country’s future — strengthening public policies, stimulating new businesses, and enabling solutions with global impact.
This forum will have simultaneous translation into Portuguese and English.

Panel 1: 9h45 to 11h – Space Law: Security, Sustainability and Global Cooperation
Panel Objective: To discuss the main legal, regulatory, and policy challenges and solutions related to the sustainability of space activities, addressing topics such as debris mitigation, international governance, responsible use of orbit and spectrum, licensing and compliance, as well as the role of governments, agencies, and the private sector in building a safe, sustainable, and competitive space environment. The panel also seeks to discuss how the Brazilian Space Program can align with global best practices and strengthen its international role in a robust and responsible manner.

Panel 2: 11h to 12h15 – Commercial Launch Operations: Opportunities and Challenges for Sustainable Development
Panel Objective: Following the first commercial space launch conducted in Brazilian territory (December 2025), a favorable scenario has emerged for the expansion of this activity in the country. This panel brings together ALADA and representatives from companies in the sector to discuss how the Brazilian government can foster space launch operations while incorporating principles of environmental, social, and economic sustainability.

The panel will present success stories and collaboration models that drive regional space projects, highlighting business structures and financing mechanisms that increase national competitiveness, stimulate the creation of new ventures, and contribute to the country’s sustainable development.

This panel aims to discuss how space technologies and data can support decarbonization, conservation, and climate adaptation projects, and how new financing mechanisms — public, private, and hybrid — can accelerate the sustainable transition in Brazil. At the same time, the discussion expands to include the sustainability of space activities themselves.

This seminar will cover applications of Earth Observation, such as Environmental Monitoring, Natural Resource Management, Urban Planning, Mapping and Disaster Monitoring, as well as Connectivity solutions for Communications, Navigation, Positioning, Monitoring and Telemetry.

Forum: Geointelligence in Security and Defense
June 18th – 9h30 to 18h (UTC-3)
This forum will discuss operations with different aircraft, the use of emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning, and onboard sensors applied to public and private security. It will also cover applications in civil and military defense, including border surveillance and natural disaster response.
