Of the 32 entries received, 8 startups from the space sector and 8 from drones were selected, which will present their pitches to the judging committee of specialists and others interested in knowing their projects on May 11 in the capital of São Paulo
The SpaceBR Show and the DroneShow open space in 2023 for startups in the space and drone sectors to show what they are developing and stay in direct contact with investors. Eight startups from the space sector and eight from drones were selected to present their pitches to investors in May 11 at the Frei Caneca Convention Center, in Sao Paulo (SP), Brazil.
10am to 12pm – the startups selected from the space sector were: Acosta Aerospace, playSTEM academy, INNOVA SPACE (Argentina), All2Space, CURSAT (Chile), Quasar Space, Epic of Sun and CRIAR SPACE SYSTEMS. There are six Brazilians, one from Argentina and one from Chile.
2 pm to 4 pm – the selected startups in the drone sector were: Verde Drone, SkyDrones Tecnologia Aviônica, TideWise, SyraSolar, ForLiDAR, Pix Force, WorkGeo and Stella Tecnologia. All Brazilian.
Space Pitch 2023
The three finalists of Space Pitch 2023, an opportunity for startups to present their businesses to potential investors at SpaceBR Show 2023, will receive a larger award compared to the previous edition. This year, Amazon Web Services (AWS) will distribute US$ 17,500 in credits for the winners to develop projects using the company's cloud computing services – last year the award was US$ 9,000 – and mentoring sessions .
Awarded startups will be awarded by AWS as follows:
• 1st place: $10,000 in cloud credits + 3 hours of mentoring;
• 2nd place: $5,000 in cloud credits + 2 hours of mentoring;
• 3rd place: $2,500 in cloud credits + 2 hours of mentoring.
The three finalists will still receive a cash prize in the amount of R$ 5,500 offered by MundoGEO. In addition, startups will earn Space Founder grants and market visibility through disclosure on the MundoGEO portal and webinars.
• 1st place: $ 600 + Space Founder grants + One news webportal MundoGEO + One participation in a Webinar MundoGEO;
• 2nd place: $ 300 + Space Founder grants + One news webportal MundoGEO + One participation in a Webinar MundoGEO;
• 3rd place: $ 200 + Space Founder grants + One news webportal MundoGEO + One participation in a Webinar MundoGEO.
A committee of experts from New Space and the space economy will make the preliminary selection and a panel of judges, made up of investors, entrepreneurs and ecosystem leaders will choose the three finalists on May 11, 2023 in São Paulo (SP) at the Frei Caneca Convention Center.
Drone Pitch 2023
The finalist startups, selected by a committee of industry experts, will have mentoring and visibility presenting their solution at Drone Pitch 2023, on May 11 at the Frei Caneca Convention Center, in São Paulo (SP), for a panel of judges composed by investors, entrepreneurs and ecosystem leaders.
All selected startups will have access to the seven DroneShow seminars and will be mentioned in news on the MundoGEO portal. The three finalists will be announced and will participate in a MundoGEO webinar, in addition to sharing a cash prize:
1st Place: BRL 3,000.00
2nd Place: BRL 1,500.00
3rd Place: BRL 1,000.00
